From 1987-1995 I was mainly playing keyboards. I was immersed in this stuff.

Career-wise, I should have stayed with it as EDM was just taking off, but thankfully I had a better source of work to fall back into when it became clear that i had a fan base of one. .

EDM, Electrical Discharge Machining, Sinker or wire? Good field to be in if you want to be continuously employed.

Happy Face, I too was getting into keyboards around this time, and I interviewed for a job at Kurzweil. Didn't get it. If I had, my career would have gone towards music. No regrets though since staying with computer manufacturers in MA kept me busy doing really fun stuff (mostly).

It's a little ironic since at the end of my career I worked for a company called Gracenote that provides lots of information about music to the internet. I guess music has always been in my blood.

Like a vanity license plate? (I do pay for one on my gearmobile which reads SWLABR. A few fellow geezers give a smile of recognition, most folks are simply puzzled.)
