Pricing a "Guildsby" tailpiece

I have a Starfire II with a Guild-branded Bigsby tailpiece that was added when it was new. I'm restoring the guitar to a harp tailpiece and hope to sell the Guildsby. Hans kindly offered to help facilitate a swap but I don't want to be without the guitar.

I've now located a harp tailpiece and once I get them swapped out I'll sell the "Guildsby", but I have no idea how to price it, since I've never even seen one for sale.

It's silver, functional, in good shape and originally came off a '64 Starfire III.

What's a reasonable price?

Joe, I could use it on my 65 T100d....the tailpiece I had was pretty badly rusted, cleaned up a bit, but still looks pretty funky....let me know how much when you do decide.....Steffan

I would put it on ebay. They're pretty tough to come by.

Thanks Nigel, I'll be watching that. A gold one in that condition should go for top dollar. Mine is silver and but the same basic model and I'm willing to sell it but not in any hurry.

I agree... I've seen plain chrome harp tailpieces go for more than that and regular silver Bigsbys go for twice that. Somebody got a deal!

This does not really help your issue but I have the same issue. I've got an old starfire VI body I was hoping to restore but I do not have the time or the patience. I have a silver guildsby tailpiece for the 65 to 67 era that I guess I will be selling. Let me know if you find a good indication of the price. I would love to sell mine to someone on here instead of throwing it to the wolves of ebay. I was sort of hoping to sell everything together as a project for someone but it looks like the parts or greater than the sum on this one.
