Does this tuner button washer need to be replaced?

Sorry, the photo is grainy.

So, it looks like the black spring button washer needs to be replaced. I don't see a replacement button washer for Gotoh on StewMac. I find them for Grover tuners. Would those work for my Gotoh tuners? Or do I need to think about replacing the tuners?
I believe that these are Gotoh Large Schaller-style knob 3+3 tuning machines. They came on my NH D-50CE Standard.
The tuner still works, but I can feel that it is not as tight as the other tuners. Thanks.

No idea, Reeves, but good eye.

I would unscrew the button and try to pull it off to look at what's going on there with the washer. I think you're right on about what's happening. It could be crushed, or maybe it could be reseated?

Good luck.

Washers can break and if broken must be replaced, otherwise the Phillips screw at the end of the tuner button sets the tension.

I've noticed they don't always feel the same on a guitar, maybe nor do they need to.

Lighter strings like the trebles can benefit from the extra sensitivity of a not overly tight tuner, for smooth accurate action.
