First post, so hello! I’d planned to fit a Baggs M80 in my new M20 but it just doesn’t fit the smaller soundhole. I’m not a big fan of the K&K mini and I’ve generally preferred soundhole pickups but I’m willing to be persuaded to try something else if anyone has a better suggestion.

the Baggs M-1 fits and sounds great. it is a very tight fit though, not something you would want to install and remove all the time. In fact I have one brand new/open box for that exact reason, if you are interested. It was in my F-20 for about 60 seconds

My M40 has the newer generation LR Baggs iBeam, and while I was never fan of the original pickup, the newer version sounds pretty good to my ears.

Thanks folks. I’d been ideally looking to fit an active pickup but I’ve installed a Fishman Blackstack I had and it sounds great as usual. I just need to work out a small and portable preamp to work with it. I’m hoping the M20 becomes my easy grab-and-go gigging guitar. I’m really enjoying it so far.

Not sure this is the place to post this, but I made a little test recording using the M20, mic’d up with a Shure SM57. The guitar isn’t in the video but the box is hidden in the gloom behind me. I’ll post some pics or video with the guitar when I get a chance. :)
The video is deliberately gloomy and grungy to go with the song. This is pretty much exactly the sound I was looking for when I went in search of a small body all mahogany guitar.

The Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker, which I love with all my heart, will fit. I have similar fit issues with my Art & Lutherie parlor, and I just have to fully unscrew one tab and then reattach it when the pick is in the soundhole.
