Anyone remember the SNL "Secrets" skit with Senator McCain, RIP John.

We all have secrets, but the internet is so intimate, lol, you can share with anyone with very little consequences.

Here's mine, which I'm only passing on to be helpful towards [married] fellow guitar players who might have trouble finding the quality and needed alone time "to really open up" when you're playing, lol.

Ok, here it is.

Start babbling, a lot. Start with morning coffee and keep going, before too long, your partner "will need space", and now that it's nice out, you'll have the house to yourself.

It really works.

During this time out that can last up to several hours depending on your performance and corresponding irritability level, play, but cook, clean, and wash dishes, to offset the playing.

Happy wife, happy life.

By the time the cooking, cleaning, and washing dishes is done there's not much time left for guitar, unless you pull a Lisa Douglas and throw the dirty dishes out the window (and how I wish it worked that way).
