he says it's a 66. Which in my mind is possible, since I believe they converted some early SF-I to SF-II basses. Just really hard to get a good capture of it from the video. Can't find it anywhere else at all on the web

A factory early '67 SF II will have the straight bridge, master volume and PU selector on the treble/neck area and no suck switch. So the pics are easily mid-'67 or earlier. There were factory SF II's in the hands of some players a little earlier so it could be a factory SF and a '66.

Tangentially I am not a big Cure aficionado, but Michael Dempsey, one of the bassists clearly knows about Guild.
