Led a 5-hour field trip into the park yesterday morning and it was evident that the spring flood is on!

Whatcom Falls

American Dippers are flying in and out of the spray and searching for nesting sites. And that makes me smile.

That looks and sounds like a great day out!

I'm planning on doing some canoeing with my son this year, something I haven't done for years. Your photo is a great reminder of how wonderful it is to get away and enjoy nature.
