He sure doesn't sound like somebody you'd want to deal with if you had a problem with the sale!

Is it just me or did this guy go out of his way to ensure no one will want to buy this guitar from him no matter how nice it is?

I have one just like it, if you're willing to pay 2k for it I'll be very kind, help teach you about Ebay...or talk about the weather, whatever.

I have blonde SF3 ... if you give me $3k for it, I'll get my neighbor (who doesn't play guitar) to autograph it and throw in a salad shooter and a Ginszu knife.

'S funny he doesn't think Fender did Guild any good but he bought a Fender Westerly as an investment..and he thinks it's "seasoned" just 'cause it's old.. :?

What he really thinks probably bears very little resemblance to his sales pitch.

I emailed him to let him know that 1) the asking price is way too high, and 2) that he should seriously consider re-writing his ad as it is way over the top with aggression and attitude. I then sent him a second email (I know, one is the requested limit) informing him that Fender bought Guild in 1995, and that saying Fender did Guild no good by buying Guild probably won't help his cause. I hope the "relaxed strings" get my emails.

Please everyone, follow the news/obits. If you see that I have turned up missing or am the victim of an Ebay rage attack please notify the police immediately and provide them his Ebay name.

After all that, it is a nice looking guitar, just way too much baggage to deal with, and $2K? Autographed by Al Dronge himself? I'd pay $2K for a 1998 with that sig on it!

If the signature were authentic that would be quite the trick after 26 years.

(On the other hand, my great-grandfather founded a genealogical society that is still going strong almost 70 years later. My grandmother presented me with a membership certificate with my name and signed by her father, even though he died at least 10 years before I was born. Turns out he signed a bunch of certificates for his daughters, "just in case").
