I just discovered this by accident. This piece is nice peculiar at the same time. I hope that you enjoy it.

You don't see many of those SF-Vs with the De Armonds. About 1970, according to the bible.

Hey guys,

That's Bert Weedon with his original Guild Bert Weedon model. That guitar is from 1963!
See 'The Guild Guitar Book' , page nr. 92 and 97.

Sincerely,

Ahhh... All the pictures show these with the small humbuckers. But a close reading brings info about the DeAs.

Thanks, Hans.

Bert Weedon is legendary in the UK as the author of the book Bert Weedon "Play in a Day" that along with The Shadows got everyone and anyone who is anyone into guitar in the first place....back in the day.

We ran across the that video a couple of years back. Jerry explained that the tapping of coins on the table was for people too lazy to clap along...

I never would have picked up the coin tapping if you hadn't mentioned it. These folks are actually holding a pretty good beat, alongside the drink glasses indicative of some level of intoxication. I'll go now and look this up in Han's book. (Which I paid dearly for whilst it was out of print)

I previously didn't know that Bert was famous. Sorry, I thought that with the shiny outfit and toe-tappig music that it was a comedy or music parady act, like Wierd Al Yankovich, or something.

But what do I know? You learn something every day, and even more on LTG...
