Looking for info on Guild Starfire IV. Does anyone know whether there's a block running inside the guitar or if it has a soundpost? Is it a true hollowbody?

Thanks

No soundpost. It's a semi-hollow body with a maple block running from the neck to the end-pin. Maple or mahogany laminated bodies (depending on finish and year) over the block. Imagine if Gibson made ES-335s consistently well all the time, and that's a Starfire IV.

Solid block. I've owned about six of them from various decades. Feel free to ask any questions - you'll get great answers here!

If you want a hollowbody in the Starfire format, you'll want a SFII or SFIII - the difference being that the SFIII has a Guildsby.
