I recently stumbled upon some interesting interpretations of Jimi Hendrix' Red House and thought it might be cool to share and have them in one place?

There are probably thousands of covers over the years. In this thread I'd like to collect my and your favourites and most interesting contributions.

For reference, here's Jimi (with an SG!)

Did you know that Paul Gilbert did a contribution to Jimi back in 1991?

Here's Red House. IMHO nice balance between feel for the blues and shredding madness.

And here is the complete show. Enjoy! (I did)

One more, then I'll end for today.

I stole the title for this thread of him: Wade Boyer (and the Jailbirds). Never heard of him, but this cover is noteworthy! Very dedicated public interaction, and interesting camera work.

He normally played it on Gibsons: shortscale and humbuckers were perfect for the tune, but most of the time he used one of his 2 Flying V's.

Walter Trout with a VERY energetic performance. Nice little story before he starts the song.

FWIW the only Strat I've ever lusted after. Make mine a late '64 please. Yum.

Schon and Satriani doing what they do best - and a surprising singer.

Edgar Winter with Steve Lukather and Jeff Healey. I could listen to these guys all day long!

Indigenous one more time, here with the incredible Mick Taylor. Very long drumsticks, too.
