After they finally found him, I mean...I cannot believe it took like 35 years. Without MJH, there might not have been John Fahey, and without Fahey???

Such lovely playing and singing and his gentle soul shines through in his music. I think his Louis Collins is the only murder ballad sung from the point of view of the victim’s mother. That to me says a lot about what kind of man he was.

that and Stagolee or Stack o Lea, many different spellings of that one lol.

This is my favorite one of his, well, this and Louis...Just the stuff MJH did with the E string while playing C and G chords. I hear it and think, Oh I can do this...then I go pick up my F30r and am like a deer in headlights. Wait, how is he doing this?
