So couldn’t help myself the what are you playing now or today post kept popping into my head . Thanks for that by the way . lol 😂

So the weirdest of struggles at least for me is getting a recording down so I can move on . Ok now I’m wondering where this topic should be placed ? lol

Yeah for those of use who have a few different guitars and brands . Anywho I picked upped the OM120 it’s out in the house as a couch guitar though not placed within couch reach .

My tuning is well um ? What ever the last post here was . lol so I play my boring spaced out mellow stuff on her after cleaning some of the dust that has accumulated and well to get in line I should record the sounds but then I say myself oh ! This can be more , but alas the tuning is a bit restrictive so ….. I’m trying to force something out it . The end result will be when you listen to it you should be buzzed by your favorite um drink yeah drink ! Lmao

I do love my Guilds and I’m in the process of designing a Guild-A-hub/Guitar-A-rotor ! it’s automated, place your guitars in the stands and it depending on its programming rotates to the next guitar in line on a weekly or monthly rotation pr whatever you set it to , Of course you’d need a room design to accommodate the device behind the wall as not to encroach into main living areas . Climate controlled of course !

Ok that’s it the 120 needs new strings they are yucky 🤮 and my other babies are securely in their cases which will be back in service soon I hope ! 😊🤗

For about five years I alternated guitars, sticking to one before moving to the next in line. This was three or four weeks. The rule was always new strings every time. This works well for the most part, but I bought a Santa Cruz which shot my system all to hell. Fresh strings are the answer to most dissatisfaction with a guitar. I buy my strings from my local shop, Gryphon, and I buy twelve sets of .012s and .013s at a time to minimize contact with temptation. I have not picked up a shop guitar since buying the Santa Cruz, and I won't until I truly forget what I paid for it. If you truly want to be thrifty, spend a lot of money on strings. IMHO, you should never allow a guitar get to where you notice strings are dead.

While part of me wishes I had more acoustics to "alternate" and do as you all do, the older I get and the more I play exclusively the F30R, the more I like this particular guitar and over time, seem to play it better. If that makes any sense...

Wise words but you add consider my lazyiness . lol honestly my playing has severely slacked over the last few years . It takes me at least a week off of work before I can start feeling more chipper about things and start playing again then Monday comes along . 😑

Oh I happen to have taken two weeks off for Christmas and New Years may that get me going . lol 😂

That's because the F30r might the perfect guitar (at least as far as factory guitars go). Comfortable. Short scale. Plenty of bass, thanks to the Rosewood.

If you notice, I said before I bought my Santa Cruz. For six months, I did not want to play anything else. Now it's 70/30, more like 70/10/10/10. You can change your personal rules anytime you want. I had a beautiful M 36 for 25 years. I never played it once I flatpicke exclusively. It was just something I was attached to. It found a home with a friend.

There is joy in multiple guitars . A recap of my journey as I call it into the world of acoustic guitars which I didn’t think would last all that long but here I am . lol

Learning about the woods and how they interact with each other the body sizes all the tonal differences between them add everything else you can think of like brands and builds styles etc etc . So I thought my goal was to just to get the select few to fit my style of music , A 12 string ,A dread , a OM , A parlor and Clasical .

Boy I did not expect to find more then one of a said model . lol jokes on me ! The journey got high jacked ! Lmao now ya got have one in Rosewood one in Mahogany one in Ziricote one in Ebony , Maple , Madagascar and so on ! lol there’s just no reason for this but Oh yeah I want them all !

My name is Ray and I’m an addict ! Lmao 🤣 seriously though it is enjoyable and I have much appreciation for the tonal
differences each offers . I have definitely slowed down in buying guitars which is a very good thing but gotta get that parlor but I’m patient and not jumping on one till it’s right . lol maybe that quench my thirst ? 🤔
