Just a thought that popped into my head, (and flew around like a caroway seed in an empty freight car), so please bear with me.
I can't imagine what modifications would be required to mount one, or even if, or why a acoustic guitar player would need one, but have tremolo bars ever been standard equipment on acoustic guitars?
Anyone? Franny?

It's been done before. A downward pressure like an archtop, rather than upward like most flattops. From all accounts, it sounds like crap as an acoustic, and probably not much better electric.

Well, RB, Guild's never done it in production. But I think I recall a picture or two of folks putting a tremolo on a Guild. Seems kind of fun to me, but I would never do it on a Guild. Probably the best candidate would be an Ibanez with a laminate top. One of those exotic wood models they used to have. That'd be cool.

I have a Gretsch Streamliner with a Bixby. I don't think I would like it on my D-20 though.

chazmo,
Again with this really idiotic comment?
Not the first time you've used it in a reply to me.
And it is as incorrect the second time as it was the first.
