I'm the proud new owner of a 1973 D55, which is missing the trussrod nut and washer.
Does anyone know what size I need and the best way to acquire it? many thanks fxar4k1bnhb84tjfuss8.jpg

Just theorising here  , but these guitars were originally only available as a special order, with an early user being Tommy Smothers (I have seen it suggested that it was originally a custom guitar made for him, but can't confirm). As a result of Tommy playing the instrument on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour it had a very high TV profile.

Greetings- a 1/4" truss rod tool fits my 82 D25- the same nut fits on a 1973 D55. Stewmac only has 5 /16" hex nuts- this should fit? I'm getting hung up on the 1/4 vs 5/16- this appears to only be an outside measurement? I'm ordering the 5/16 to see if they fit. Cheers- Will
