Two days later....another loon rescue!%*!

Found and rescued another loon this afternoon.

Red-throated Loon

If you look closely, you can see part of the monofilament gill net that was wrapped around its body.
I had to go into the water to get him but I did, and my buddy, Doug, cut him free while I hung on. This discarded gear is bad news for diving birds. :evil:
