a couple months ago I sold my '69 lefty F20 in a fit of GAS. From the moment I walked out of the Postal Center to ship it, I regretted that sale. Really missed the tone. Wasn't crazy about the narrow nut but later realized that I can work with it.

Well, I soon found a beautifule '74 RIGHTY and had it converted. This guitar actually sounds better than that '69 if that's possible! The luthier did a fantastic job. Upgraded to a bone saddle and bridge.

Best of all, it's a BURST  I always wanted a burst.

Congratulations for correcting your mistake so quickly. :D And congratulations to your luthier, as well, for such an apparently skillful conversion.

Looks like a really nice conversion, for both the guitar and for yourself ( ) A good luthier can work miracles.

I've also walked away from guitars that I should have kept.

What a gorgeous hunk of Guild... Congratulations. An F-20 has been on my wish list for some time... one of these days... :D

I kicked myself, too, the day I gave up my GF-25 in a GAS induced coma. I finally replaced it with one that I named after my granddaughter so hopefully I'll never let it go...

O.K Ken, now you've mentioned your regret of selling the Fonz a few times recently. Since I am the current owner of that said guitar, I'm startin to feel a little guilty :(

And I've kept guitars that I should have walked away from.....
so, between you and me, we've created a nice balance!

Joe

If you also mean to say that you've bought guitars that you should have walked away from, then we are truly in sync.
