What do these names mean and why were they chosen? I know the models they are associated with but why?
Valencia, Aragon, Navarre, etc.

They're all regions of Spain, which has a long guitar-playing history, but other than that I don't know why they were chosen.
We had a similar discussion about some of the archtop models as well recently, with different, inconclusive results. (Manhattan, Savoy, etc.)
@hansmoust do you have any info or scuttlebutt on why these names were chosen for the Guilds? If that was in the bible, I apologize, but I don't remember reading about it.
