Venezuelan Guitar Day

Since I am pretty new to the forum, let me introduce myself by saying my wife is from Caracas Venezuela. Her nephew (and mine too since we are married, duh) came to visit for two weeks in June. Carlos (Charlie) Martini is a very accomplished professional guitarist in VZ. While here we did a guitar day with a trip to Nazareth, PA to tour Martin Guitar, a trip to GC where he purchased a Takamine acoustic/electric and an effects board, then later an Ibanez RG series shredder. He plays in the style of Steve Vai. Oh, and an evening at D'town Guitars in Doylestown, PA, the best shop we visited.

Yep, D'town Guitars is a great little shop! Unfortunately, I don't have a chance to stop in there very often. Oddly enough, I drive though Skippack about 3-4 times to visit a friend of mine in Collegeville. When life calms down a little, maybe we can get together and compare toys. :-D

BTW, Carlos (Charlie) sent me a message yesterday that he is working on his paperwork from the US Embassy for a new visa. He is so anxious to come to the US on a permanent basis.

Funny how things work out. Met Default at LMG III, hosted him at my home last Sunday (and hope to again).
