Sorry if this has already been posted - the October issue of Vintage Guitar magazine (Vol. 24, issue 12 with Albert Lee on the cover) has an interesting article by Jay Pilzer on Guild flatop production in the post-Fender era. It touches on topics that appear in this forum often, like differences between Corona vs. Tacoma vs. the Hartford guitars, etc.

No problems about a re-post. I couldn't find the original either although I am sure the article was discussed because the online link was only available to subscribers. Jay Pilzer posts here once in a while, BTW.

:) Well what do ya know, here's ol' Jay Pilzer at the Arlington get together last year. I've read the article and Jay did a nice job. I learned a little about tooling and machines. I also learned that the Nashville shop has been the glue that has given the brand some consistency over the past 10 years.
