Don't know how the rest of you are doing but we have an abundant supply of rain/snowmelt coursing through our little village these days!

Whatcom Falls

A great humidifier, to say the least.

I spent a couple of hours on the creek yesterday, just 10' away from a Dipper nest at the falls, and the roar of the water is still fresh in my brain.

The Dipper nest is in the shadow to the right

I plan to go back several times so perhaps I should pack my ear plugs!

Nice to see that water flowing. A quick google tells me that Washington state snowpack is 137% of average while the Sierra Nevadas, in my area, is about 30% of average. Only good news for me is that may mean an early river/stream trout fishing season.

Nothing as spectacular or as well photographed... but my pup and I took a
pre-work morning hike today through some nearby conservation land.
We have had rain, thankfully, and the vernal streams are flowing. Enough
water for a mid-hike dip! (the pup... I stayed dry).

Nothing like a good hike in the woods with the faithful companion leading the charge.

Thanks for sharing,

I used to take my Springer Spaniel with me when I went fishing.
She loved it. As she got older, some of the places that I fished became hard on her.
I will always remember the last time that I took her with me on an all day hike/fishing trip up a steep and rocky river.
She struggled a lot but I could tell that she still loved being there with me.
I sure miss her.

Yes, thanks TMG for the sharing the remembrance. Dogs have an unfaltering love for
life from their first to their last breaths. Wish I could be so present and joyful!
