That's terrific.... I'm 1.5 pounds away from the same goal, but this is it for me. I last weighed this much in 1992. It takes determination and willpower - also to keep it from coming back. Good on you!!!

That’s a heck of a lot of weight in a very short amount of time. I would not want to go through what you had to do to lose it.

My goal is also to loose 50-60 pounds, but I’m on a slow and steady plan to do it over 3 years.

Keep it up dread! I hope you are able to keep the weight off and stay on the path to better health.

Well I was fluid overloaded when I went in the hospital, so the first 20 lb. was all fluid.

I use an app called Lose It! (apple and Android) that helps me count calories. By counting calories, and cutting out all excess sugar I had little problem losing weight.

Way to go! (y) 50 lbs is a serious load off your back! Keep it up!

By the way, I was just reading an article yesterday about a study specifically on weight gain/weight loss in people over 50 that said the body metabolizes proteins better throughout the day when they are introduced early in the day's first meal. In other words, folks that eat just cereal and fruit in the morning make it harder to metabolize proteins in the afternoon/evening, and that the inclusion of something like a hard boiled egg every morning with their breakfast actually is better for weight loss as long as you stick to portion control for the following meals. ;)
