My first post in the acoustic side of the forum. I have been looking at both of these Westerly models. I realise they are not MIA, vintage models. I am looking for something with a shorter scale, comfortable, and will use it with some effects, so don't really need an UNBELIEVABLE acoustic sound. I would put one of the deArmond pickups in the DS-240 in any case. I suppose the advantage of the M-240E is that it already has the pickup, but the DS-240 might allow for a slightly warmer sound with the bigger body.
Any players? I check in on Budda Guedes from time to time and he plays the M-240E. He's certainly worthy of a high end acoustic!
