Eating more is always a satisfying short term gratification. A diet reset costs much less than a neck one.
Agreed. I passed on it. He's willing to deal but at his ask of $1,500 he wouldn't like my offer.

This is a very informative thread. I immediately went on YouTube and watched a video on how to tell if an older or vintage guitar needs a neck reset.

I am so out of my depth, but I don't want to stay that way. Obviously, there is much more to know. This was just a start on what to look for:

Yes great place, I've learned a lot here as well.

Honestly though I probably should have gone for the ride. But that would mean waking up the feline leg warmer next to me and perhaps upsetting the four dog blanket covering my wife.

The older I get the more I like my Sundays.

We'll just spoke with Seller and he let on that he replaced the jack to try and minimize hum in pick up....which didn't work

Think I'll just stay home and eat some homemade bread IMG_20230204_160017446.jpg
It's a UST. I don't think hum is an issue with those, they're not magnetized. Source must be in cable or preamp shielding or maybe even poorly grounded amp.

Still, I think i'd rather eat bread, too. When can I come over?

Well...it's 5 p.m. EST. Just popped the cork on a rather unassuming Sauvigon Blanc to go with the goat's milk cheese and the greneric copy of L'Explorateur.

The bread was baked this morning and is just perfectly crusty after being out all day.

Better hurry!
