My one speeding ticket was because I assumed if the speed limit was 25 MPH when school was in session then it was something different when school was not in session.
Out here at least they say "When school is in session". Not that it helps.

But if it's 25mph all the time, then why even mention school?? It's misleading....

Over here the sign under clarifies the sign above - like on top no parking sign - under 9-17 - suppose you have same system.

Anyway that sign w 6 lines is ridicilous - if not dangerous.
The last one on bottom tells you to ignore all above when there¨s no school that day.

The Massachusetts state speed limit for a school zone in 20MPH. A signpost like Frono's example above would indicate that the limit is 15MPH during the posted school hours when school is in session. At other times, it'd be 20MPH (in Massachusetts).

Al's original posted picture would be meaningless in Massachusetts, but could be real in another state where the school zone limit is 30MPH, say. Of course, that's an absolutely ridiculous (and funny) list of enforced times. I presume it's a joke, otherwise someone should lose their job.

And, Fro, what was the ticket for?
