Well, going back to my method, trading for what I suggest would involve a whole lot of cash, but is a good illustration of what I wouldn't do. Maybe the bath you take on a $500 guitar is not such a bad deal as the money is not that much, but go buy a D 18 and see what trade value would be in a year. You won't want to do that. Plus you deprive yourself of the deals that are regularly in the classifieds right here.Even if you don't want to break the bank, people here are often moving up and have nice more affordable guitars for sale.

So, @WaltW, it's been a month... any decision?
Only decision that I've made is to add +1 / not subtract! Purchased today a 2012 NH Guild F20 from richardp69listed here on this board!
Seemed the impression from those who posted to the thread was that it was a good price and I was considering a Guild F as an addition rather than a Taylor 712K which I had located on Reverb.
Hmmmm, I've added 2 since coming here on Aug 14.....is my OCD rising?........................Naaah!

I saw that you grabbed the F-20, Walt. Congrats. I'm sure you're gonna love it. I used to have a cedar top mahogany GC 30th anniversary, and it was beautiful... But I think you'll enjoy an F-20 more. Hey, it's a Guild. :)

One of the problems with on line purchase is you dont get to just "feel it". I'd say move on. You just bond with some guitars and not with others. Sometimes that happens even with the same model of guitar!
Fully agreed here. I have purchased many on line and have had a lot of luck. However, I have had a few that never took. Tried new strings. Tried different set ups. I have even tried to shave bracing on a D-50 once. Nothing. Sometimes the guitar is just not that into you... or is it the other way around???
