I bought a GV-52 last year. My first rosewood guitar ever and only my second Guild acoustic. For a variety of reasons I have not spent a lot of time with it. It took a wile to get it set up the way I wanted it. But now . . . Golly. The sound, the feel/playability. It's just amazing.

I thought the nut was a little narrow. It just took me a while to get used to it and now it's perfect. I strung it with mediums because that's what I have. I assumed I would want to go with lights, but now I doubt it.

I figured I would want 80/20 vs PB. Maybe wrong again. I really love the sound.

I assumed at some point I would be getting a GF-30/F44. One of my all-time favorite Guitars. Now I'm not seeing the need. Of course, I am still looking for one. Hahaha.

I thought I would keep my Taylor. Iam pretty sure I will sell it now. It's a great guitar, and very different. But as my wife says, "You can only play one at a time."

Keep trying new strings on it, fuman. Strings are the most important/relevant factor in the tone of your guitar that you have access to, and the difference among them is eye-opening. Enjoy.

Thanks. I already have 3-4 sets ready to go. It's a fun and yet aggravating experience. My other guitar is maple so this is almost the obverse situation, tone-wise.

I But as my wife says, "You can only play one at a time."
My wife finally gave up with that saying when my standard response became “Very true, and you can only wear one pair of shoes, earrings or necklaces at a time.”
