Guilds from the 60's thru the 80's and into the early 90's... Just my happy place in the wonderful run of Guild guitars through the years.😁

....but over the years, the later Westerlys, the Coronas, and the one Tacoma - they were all sweet and relative bargains.
That's the first thing I learned when I first joined the group here -- "Which factory produced the better Guilds." The answer was pretty unanimous: They're all good! As in, very good. Somehow through the several movings and owner changes, no factory let down on "the Guild thing." As @E-Type's sig notes:

1952-1956: New York City, NY
1956-1969: Hoboken, NJ
1967-2001: Westerly, RI
2001-2004: Corona, CA
2005-2008: Tacoma, WA
2009-2014: New Hartford, CT
2015-present: Oxnard, CA

Or course, guys (and gals) usually have their preferences, lots liking the older Westerlys. I only have familiarity with a few -- one each from Corona, New Hartford, and Oxnard -- and they're all just fabulously outstanding. I did have a blue Westerly JF30-12 for a while, and it was certainly fine enough, but my Corona JF30-12 with the ebony fretboard was the clear winner for me.....
