Who out there has been dealing with this storm in California?

Yesterday, we had hellacious winds and rain up here in northern California. A large tree across tree fell over, roots and all. Today the sounds of chainsaws and wood chippers fill the air on our street and the street behind us.

We never lost power but we did hear from a friend in San Francisco who lost power.

Stay safe.

The weather is going to become more extreme with each passing year, I'm afraid. Hope all California members are safe, and get a break from this storm.

Been hearing of the devastation on the weather channel. Wishing minimum damage to all. Stay safe.

Here in Ventura, on the SOCAL coast, we had a variety of weather, depending on where you were. At my house, we just had a fair amount of rain (3.5”), but I watched a TV reporter about a mile away just about get knocked over from the wind. It really seems to vary a lot in just a small area.

I wonder how the Guild facility in Oxnard is doing. And the G&L facility in Fullerton, Rickenbacker facility in Anaheim and Fender plant in Corona, too. Hopefully they are not getting flooded out.

During the winter, I drove north to surf Hollywood, C-street and Overhead back during the 1960s and lived in Ventura (on Jordan) in 1970 before leaving SoCal for good.

Based solely on what I saw on the news, looks like the the surf shops down on Thompson got flooded.

My brother just sent me a photo of the L.A. River, which is typically just a trickle of water -- if any! It's going pretty good now!
