Correction JF 30.......I have the opportunity to buy one for $700 in its original case...very good condition.
What do you think....good deal, average deal, bad deal?

c70 man, that looks like a JF-30, not an F-30. Very different beasties.

And, regarding the JF-30... yes! :)

I don't really know what the going rate is for a '90s F30, but I can tell you this. I recently played a Westerly F30 in good condition (needed a refret) that was going for $1200.

Has the body of the F30 changed throughout the years? I always thought it had an OM type body, but the pic looks more like a mini jumbo.

Not sure if your question relates to whether you should buy a JF30, or a 90's era Westerly Guild. If it's the latter, I recently got a late 97 D-30, and it's a great guitar, rapidly becoming my daily player. It was built after FMIC bought Guild, but it still has the Guild intangibles. I'd say go for it. Of course, that's my recommendation to anyone considering a Guild.

You have some nice choices. I have always heard about the Corona quality being a little hit and miss. Keep in mind that I have no hands on experience with Corona built Guilds. If you can, play and inspect them first. If both were in the same condition, I would go for the NT Westerly assuming it is maple.

Mr Graham. I'm beginning to think you have a serious weakness for anything Guild......Does to your will power what Kryptonite does to Superman.  Steffan

That would be a very nice guitar for a very nice price,
as long as there are no issues.
Be sure the neck is good and there are no other structural problems.
