Hi there, new here.

I'm thinking of getting me a Guild x-50 in the near future (as soon as I get my Telecaster sold..).
I have to drive quite a distance to try one, I am therefore trying to get as much info on the guitar prior to making the trip.
Are there any soundsamples/videos/artists I could check out to get an idea of how the guitar sounds?
I just would like to get a general idea knowing that different amps, players, enviroments, recordings all have an influence.

How about the neck.
How is it compared to a Gibson's es125?

Thanks

Thanks Littlesongs.
I must admid I 'd seen most of these clips allready.
A question though: Are the metal looking pickups on some of these x-50s also Franz pickups?

Thanks again,

G

Hi drka; well ... I can't speak for littlesongs but I use a cheat sheet ... click here. He's talking about movies made by his favorite Japanese film director and producer. I was going to pretend that my T1 connection to my translator in Japan was not working ... hence no/slow response from me.

I'm told by native speakers that the Translator produces 'stilted' language. I think this is a problem with idiom, sentence structure, placement of adjectives before or after the noun ... that kind of thing. I have a couple of German-speaking friends who speak very good English but if the message is complex or wordy,

I sometimes write it out in English and then translate it, and then send them the translation too

- translated - Ich schreibe manchmal es auf Englisch aus und übersetzen Sie dann es, und schicken Sie dann ihnen die Übersetzung auch

- translated - ?????????????????????????????????????????

at the risk of looking like an idiot by providing a link to my own arrangements.. the song called winter song down near the bottom I think captures the sound of my 55 X-50 pretty well

Loved it! very tasteful playing, nice progression and arrangement, and great tones! Looking forward to hearing some of the others.
