RIP Burt Jansch and Marv Tarplin

Jansch was a founding member of Pentangle, and an extrordinary acoustic guitar player.

Marv Tarplin was one of those R&B guitarists and writers behind the (early Supremes), Marvin Gaye, but most prominently Smokey Robinson, and toured with him until 2008.

I was "aware" of Jansch, but cannot say I followed him; when growing up in the 60's, I really didn't care for "soul music," but today I just love all those guitar backing bits...Traplin (and others) were just so tasty and played for the song.

Great loss to us both...
