as i mentioned in a different topic, this is the vintage Guild my dad handed down to me for Christmas a few years ago. it's a 1970 Guild F30 SB. it was his first guitar, and it's the guitar i learned on as a teenager. as he was getting older, he found the neck a little too thin for his hands, so he gave it to me. he's more at home these days with a vintage Guild 12-string jumbo.

anyway, i thought i would jump on the guitar porn bandwagon for the first time. not sure if i got all the poses right. ;) i've been waiting for a sunny day, but it's been a rainy fall, and every time i'm home it's overcast, so some of the lighting is not quite what i was looking for. but, you'll get the point. maybe i'll upload a few more next time my living room is sunny. ;)

She's definitely a beauty!

I saw the title of your post, though, and I took it for a song by, I think, Ed Gerhard. If only it had been done on this guitar!

Is this what they mean by a "spread"? Well it'll whet the appetite at least..Y'know these posed solo stills are all well and good but we'd really like to see some "action shots" Actually I should talk since I'm digitally challenged and don't even have equipment to take photos let alone upload 'em! That nice soft lighting really ups the artistic quotient.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. A wonderful family keepsake. Is there a next generation to take care of it?

Great photos. Another Ed Gerhard fan here. Ed can get more out of one note than any one I've heard.

That's a beautiful guitar with a great family history. Heck, the only thing my dad ever gave me was a genetic prospensity for shortness, weight gain and prostate cancer...

Beautifur guitar and a very cool story to go with it. Got to think there are a lot of great tunes inside a Guild with all that good mojo goin' on. :D :D

no, my wife and i have decided against it. so, when that time comes, i'll either hand it down to my nephew if he starts playing, or maybe a relative, or a member of LTG. :)

Hey I'm available for adoption, house trained and everything. I'm even willing to be super obnoxious for a few years so you can experience the adolescent period ?
