Does anyone know if there was ever a sunburst S-100C? I've got a sunburst JS-II with the acorns, but I've never seen a sunburst acorn guitar.

I have a sunburst carved S100. I reckon a sunburst carved JS2 bass would be even more rare !

I don't know that I've ever seen a carved SB bass. Pics please!

I put my S100 Deluxe up for sale, though I kinda wish it wouldn't sell. But I'm soon out of my job and forced to update my camera gear so I'll be able to do freelance work while unemployed :(

I never did come back and do that, did I? Here it is, next to my weird sun-faded Starfire XII and the "night blue" refinished S-100. Also one extremely non-vintage kitten.

I can't say I *need* a second S-100, but if I ever find a sunburst carved one, I doubt I'll be able to resist it.

a 90's Polara is my dream guitar, looking especially for one from my birth year ('98)

Does anyone know what era the stock pickups stopped being microphonic? I know the original HB-1s were, not sure about the three variations of the 90s reissues.

Certain pickups can become microphonic, but not all HB1s were microphonic. Potting can often help when pickups go microphonic because the problem is generally due to vibrating components.

What stock strings came on a 1999 S100, anyone know? Or the newer ones, for that matter.

The catalogs or pricelists from that time don't give that info, they only show the available Guild strings:

I bet they were L4350 in 1999 (.010-.046)

They looked like this SL4250 package:

For the current S-100 simple look at the webpage and you find: "D'Addario EXL110 - Nickel Wound Regular Light (.010" - .046")"
