    Scratch,

Could you tell me a little about the DCE-1? Is it all solid? What's the going rate on e-swamp?

    'Mornin Hat,

The attached link best describes the DCE1: http://westerlyguildguitars.com/guitars/dce-1hr.html

Never played or even held one, myself. Evidently aimed/offered, similar to Martin's 'DCX' series, as an alternative to buying an inexpensive asian crafted guitar...

It has been a while since I saw one on eBay, but I think the DCE series go in the $450.00 to $800.00 range... Here's a recent DCE1 listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/Guild-DCE-1-Acousti ... 0481304271

    Jeff and Scratch,

Thanks for the info. I just bought a DC1E. I don't imagine the difference is something I could see, hear, or feel. Red gloss mahogevery, just what I wanted.

Interesting, my 96 D25 with heelblock date of 10/31/96 did the same thing., about a couple of years in, which coincidentally was right about 225-250 hours of playing time, except I noticed it as a
"big moment" all on a warm Saturday morning outdoors.
I'm thinking they had some really good spruce around '96-'97 at least.
