Here’s one we haven’t seen before (I don’t think.)
Robben Ford with a Starfire 8= on George Harrison’s Dark Horse Tour, 1974.

hahaa - I zoomed the picture - it has such poor resolution, that it appears as 5-string guitar - Eoct + E + A + D + G - and no B or E at all

But I was just looking at bridge pins - no octave G there

why buy a 12 string if you aren't going to play all strings?
I mean and you are not Joe...

Hello

I took octave D & G away from my F212CSB when playing it electric - they were too loud. Acoustically no problem.
On my F512 I never had that issue - different guitar & different pick-up

Not sure if I count as an 'artist' these days but my favourite pics are of myself playing my old Slim Jim back in the 60s.

I posted a pic on another thread, but just to tell you a bit of history of it. I bought it sometime in late 64 or early 65. Originally it was a cherry colour as depicted in the B&W pics. Obviously you can't see the colour, but you know what I mean.

Now comes the awful bit.....In 67 I decided, in my wisdom, to change the colour, so I laid the guitar down outside my back door, on concrete and grabbed hold of an electric sander. About 30 minutes later it was more or less a natural colour with streaks of cherry and a few gouges in the wood. Another 30 minutes of applying sandpaper and it was ready for a coat of quick drying clear varnish. I think I applied two coats before letting it dry for a couple of hours. I then put it back together and re-stringed it ready for a gig the following day.

It was a great sounding guitar that I kept until late 69 when I sold it and bought a Strat. Wish I had never sold it, but never mind

Here is Canadian award winning singer/songwriter Leslie Feist. She is super loyal to her Starfire(s) and she is great. She loves the Guilds and I think she is also is one of the foxiest foxes in foxville to boot!

Sorry if any of these have been posted already. I looked through a lot of the pages, but not all.
