Good video! They are even playing live...well, is Brian even playing? There is a book out on the Rolling Stones equipment by the same author as Beatlegear, and I am sure the drum question would be answered in that...Damn, Keith even looks like a human being, almost like a Beatle!

Just listened to the Peter Tork video previously, wow a Bill Lawrence p/u still working after all these years! And some pretty fancy chords there for a Monkee...the kid is obviously a much better player than we were ever allowed to hear...

Didn't have time to go through the whole thread so pardon if these are dupes. A couple of my favorites:

Nuuska, it would seem that this video must have been filmed between January/February 1966 and November 1966, as that was the time the Guild M65 Freshman was Keith Richards primary stage guitar...which was a single p/u Freshman customized with two DeArmond 2000D p/u's, additional volume and tone controls on the lower bout and additional master volume and p/u switch on the upper bout. Do not know what the gig is they are playing, but their clothes seem to indicate that it is not our Ed Sullivan Show. As to Charlie Watts drums, seems he always played Ludwigs, and while they hired amps for the US tours, Charlie insisted on playing his regular drums and had those shipped over.

Now then, this may not even be a USA video and the drum info incorrect, but the Framus "Humbug" bass, the Gibson Firebird VII and the Guild Freshman would appear to indicate 1966...

Tim Buckley appeared on the very last episode of the Monkees but this is the first time I've seen a pic:

In fact I saw the episode a couple of Saturdays ago and while trying to see inside it to check for back braces, it hit me:
The pickguards don't match!
:glee:
So-o-o-o......is it an F212 or 312?
(lack of Chesterfield makes me think it's gotta be one of those 2, and I think, given the performance was recorded in December '67, it's just a wee bit too early for a 412 or 512)

Pete playing one of his Guild 12ers, not too uncommon; Pete smiling, not too common; Pete smiling playing his Guild, Priceless!

Newly discovered pic of Peter Tork with his F30:
petergibsonmicky_orig.jpg

I assume that's the guitar he wrote "For Pete's Sake" on.
And stumbled across this UBER-rare pic too, one I've never seen him with before.

I believe that's an FS46ce.
Or maybe an F45ce.
It's often forgotten he liked him some Guild Bass too:

One I haven't seen before. Redbone, at a Philly Earthday concert, with a backline of T-Basses!

Man you guys are slacking! Where's my "Holy crap Grot do you really have one of everything? Let's make with the ego stroking, you don't think I hang around here for the intelligent conversations do ya?

Forgive me, for I have sinned. I have not done the things I ought to have done.

Not that it means anything now but I recall thinking that you were on a roll in terms of owning one of everything we were talking about. But I was afraid to say anything just in case playing the Stone Pony had gone to your head :)

A new to me pic of Pete with 12-string (his F-612?) from ‘76 showed up on a Who FB group.

Don't think this has been posted before. Having recently bought, almost on impulse, an M80, I have been doing some research and there is not a lot about them. Here is Tim Pierce taking home a very nice example. Any other pictures of people playing them?
