Going to look at this (hopefully) in the AM. How bad was this thing butchered?

Looks like a 1978 S-60D. Had 3 in line tuners and two DiMarzio SDS-1 single coils.
But there is a lot to be added and you probably need to refinish it.

Ken Nash has a S-60D harness: http://www.theguitarmechanic.com/GuildHarness.html

He even has a full S-70 hardware kit for sale which could be used for this body: http://www.theguitarmechanic.com/guildkit.html

Plus he has the bridge needed: http://www.theguitarmechanic.com/GuildBridge.html

But, adding the price of all the parts it seems to be not worth it...

Its a blank canvas. You can really go anywhere with it; whether you want to do an authentic restoration, or spec it out to suit yourself. Nothing wrong with a FrankenGuild when you're starting from this. (Tearing apart a perfectly good example, well, that's another story.)

That is a steal. I've been searching for one (or 2) of those cases. Keep coming up empty. If for some reason you do not need the case I am calling dibs! Would pay fair value for it too, more than $50,obviously. Might make the guitar project more financially doable if it were to shake out that way. Just puting it out there...nice find!

I'm thinking of an S-70 conversion. I have no idea if it will require an expansion of the route. Anyone know?
I don't have any of those guitars but simply by looking at this and this I would say, no, you should be fine. (EDIT: Wrong, my next sentence was valid and see Hans answer below).
However, the distance from the neck pup to the end of the fretboard looks very little on the S-70, so maybe that might be a area where it needs some small routing. I am sure Hans would tell you.
I was looking if I can find a parted out S-70 body picture, if I find one I will post it.

The routing for the neck pickup on the S-70 goes to about 3/8" ( that's a little less than 10 mm for us Metric folks) from the end of the fingerboard.

Sincerely,

Ah, o.k., so it needs some extra space/routing towards the end of the neck.

I have an HB-1 bridge pickup available if you want to keep the project (somewhat) simple and towards the cheaper end of the money spectrum...and "make it an S-60." It is missing the chrome cover though. I got it from DRC and never used it. Let me know if interested. Is up for grabs.

Would be difficult to mount HB-1s, the guitar was a S-60D, where the pickguard held the single coils (see the above picture about the S-70 pickguard). The S-60 was totally different routed from the S-60D! Look at this how a S-60 was routed! http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0332/7621/products/Photo_2014_02_17_04.06.42_PM__91187.jpeg
And that was the wiring of a S-60: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0332/7621/products/Photo_2014_02_17_04.06.34_PM__39079.jpeg

Ralf, thanks...I didn't say it would be pretty!
interesting how different those guitars all are, they seem so similar.

You know Mavuser, I was thinking of maybe an HSS configuration, HB-1 in the bridge position then 2 single coils. Like Chris said, it's a blank canvas
