I'm interested in mid 70's S-100's, S-300's (with HB1's), late 60's early 70's Bluesbirds (chambered '69 preference), Nightbirds. I'd listen to other offers but those are the models that I currently seek.

Maybe if one of the LTG police could move this to the FS/FT category? Please and Thanks

Does anyone here in the LTG community has access to or know where one can find a metal bridge for the '66 Starfire XII? I'd pay top dollar.

I thought those guitars came with wooden bridges.

I think so.

But also have seen one with a Hagström bridge, like the Starfire IV used. If that came like this from the factory or if it was a later changed wooden bridge, I don't know.

Somebody did a lot of work to make this look like the Starfire XII that was presented to John Lennon, but he (or she) missed the finer points!

Sincerely,

Now that you say it, on second look, yes, I spot a few differences. Truss Rod Cover (no Starfire written on), Tone and Volume Knobs (no Tone/Volume written on), Tailpiece (the Lennon one has 12 hooks, this only has 6), Bridge (already mentioned), master volume knob (at least the Hardrock Café one has a different one). And the color seems to be different. Wood seems to be mahogany on both guitars, even if the guy from TheBeatlesGear.com wrote "laminated maple top and back (Lennon's DC-351 looks like hog to me). Tuners look the same to me. Both are '66 models as it looks.

The lacquer on the binding and over the headstock inlay is still almost white, so it means it stayed most of it's life in a case. Hence such a good condition of the lacquer I guess.
