Bonham (Versatone) amp

I've got a Bonham amp. The amp stage is a Versatone - (probably) made by the same folks. The cab section is a little taller, and I'm thinking the speaker isn't original, though I can't be sure. Might actually precede Versatone production, but I kind of doubt it. Carol Kaye says the amp design was bought from Bonham.

I have an offer of $1500, but the guy isn't really a Jack fan. Maybe its worth more, maybe not. I'll ship it, but it'll probably cost up to $100.

How does this little beauty sound with non-Guild basses, specifically your Rick?

So it sounds pretty good, though at the top of its volume, when you get into pure saturation, it only sounds like a Guild (read: Casady) on the high notes. The low notes are a different kind of distortion. Sort of more ordinary.
