The family drove down to UC San Diego and watched a Jack Johnson concert. Well, most of it. What we thought was an arena show was a stand out in the field show and since many of the up front people stood UP, at the first songs, everyone had to stand up and then no one ever sat down again. Back and feet fatigue got the best of us.

At any rate, the warm-up band was called Bahamas and the guitar player, and lead singer had an older Guild sitting on a stand. He never played it during their set, but when they came back to play with Jack Johnson, he did for a few songs. I am not an expert so I can't tell you what model it was, and darned if I can find a front side picture on line, but... their FaceBook page as a rear view:

Looks like a mustache headstock. Sunburst. Two pickups. Guild G in the head with the upside down V shaped Guild logo. I think the switch was on the top side of the guitar. No Bigsby, I think. Rather scratched up so it looked old.

No more of those concerts for me. Lyle Lovett was here a while back for an evening concert at a waterfront park, and the look-at-me-dancers blocked the view for most of the show. Luckily, we were on a small knoll that allowed us to see the guy we were there to see but the folks who got there early and spread out their blankets to enjoy the show couldn't see diddly.
That's a real pi$$er and a deal breaker for me, and it seems like it's always allowed. It's the epitome of rude behavior if you ask me....of course, no one ever does. :hopelessness:

Just sayin',
Joe

I had a similar experience at a Jack Johnson concert in Indianapolis back in June. Because I'm slightly above average height (5' 11"), I was able to see reasonably well, though I did not appreciate the foot and back pain. My friend, on the other hand, is 5' 3"; and she had a view of nothing more than people's backs. An expensive night for me (it was her birthday present) and a sub-optimal experience for both of us.

(There was a different opening act that night, and I don't think any Guilds were involved.)

Looks like an Aristocrat to me.
Correct! And modified with Bigsby.
8 block inlays and new style Guild knobs means 1959 or slightly newer. (Before they had 10 block inlays, and the new style clear knobs were used 1959-1963. I am not sure in which years the G headstock logo was used).
