Yes, today's score is a Guild G300 Tamarack.
I also got this, but I assume you're all more excited by the Tamarack.
What does the "Plectron" control do? Some sort of attack control or a compressor?
Axe is cool too. What a great tool. I am making do with my Mark 1.
Dibs on all the knobs after your review,
Ralph
Am I correct in assuming that the case is made of tamarack?
Boy, I'd love to have that!
I'm not familiar with these; I'm guessing it's an acoustic guitar amp? Very cool nonetheless.
I could probably flip the knobs on eBay (rare! **WOW!**) and get back the money I spent on the amp but for this Guild dork it's worth it just to keep the amp on a shelf and look at them. :highly_amused:
Also a G-500, which had a beige/orange tolex instead of wood (check my sig ). All made by Randall.Correct. They sold four of them that I'm aware of:
G300 Tamarack
G600 Aspen
G700 Sequoia
G1000 which I don't think was named after a tree, possibly because it looked like a big footstool.
Also a G-500, which had a beige/orange tolex instead of wood (check my sig ). All made by Randall.

(looks like the pics are dead, since I no longer use imageshack.)
The manual says the cabinet is oak.
Very cool! How heavy is it?
