Other than the rarely-encountered sunburst version, this is the only color finish I've seen on these that I like. Don't care for any of the opaque or "silverburst" choices at all, especially since the neck is painted to match. I prefer to see some wood grain, even if it's under a translucent color. If this red version was priced at the same point as the others, I'd maybe be interested, but I suspect it's going to cost nearly as much as an NS SF-II, at least initially. I prefer narrower necks and short scale anyway, so will likely sit this one out.

But it does look pretty.

Sweetwater and MF seem to have changed the status of this instrument from "coming soon" to "no longer available".

I saw Jack playing one of these at a recent gig, and figured it must be a special edition or the like. I'll just stick with my gold top, as I've got it modded just right!
