The bass belongs to hagmeat and was recently mentioned here.

I'm hosting because there is concern that exporting the pictures from Australia might cause problems with CITES.

The body is the double cutaway body that was used for the JS bass circa 1970-1977. The "furniture" belongs to a B-302 which started production in 1977 or 78.

We have discussed this and similar instruments in the bast but I do not recall that we reached any firm conclusions. I like to think that Guild ran out of parts before they ran out of bodies so put this one together to fill orders for a JS. It is possibly that Guild was evaluating what to use on the B-302 series and built this as a test for the new components. Maybe they ran out of B-30x bodies and made this much later than 1978.
