What a Pioneer for women in all sports let alone Horse Racing. No one will ever forget Secretariat and the Triple Crown they won.

I worked at Belmont Park for 26 years right near barn 5 where he was stabled. I never got to see him in the flesh until I toured Claiborne farm in the summer of '88. Big Red looked so good, it seemed that with 60 days training, he'd have gone out and done it all over again. Penny was a class act, a trait that's sorely missing amongst most of her contemporaries. RIP.

Dig the suit in on the guy with the binoculars !

That was one HECK of a lead. I don't know horse racing, but I'd bet that long of a gap hasn't happened in a triple crown event since.
