SOLD to a guy in New Orleans!

I just put this old vintage piece up on reverb. As the ad says, "she's got chips and dings galore, a nasty scratch on the back, but no cracks or structural damage." Why am I selling this? To fund another guitar purchase, of course! >>Link here<<.

Very cool guitar! I like the inlay on the headstock and the vintage label visible thru the f-hole.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, Bill. Man, I had a heck of a time getting a shot of that label! I never really did succeed... :grey:

Man, you had me going there for a hot second. Until I got to the 1 5/8" nut.

So strange, because Martins had really wide nuts in 1939 (1 3/4).

Yeah, maybe I better measure that again. (Measure twice, sell once.) That's 1/16" smaller than the more typical 1-11/16", and 1/8" smaller than the wider 1-3/4". And it's amazing that 1/16" makes a discernable difference. As a newbie I used to get EF500 Epiphone Masterbilts for their 1-3/4" nuts, but after my fingertips hardened a bit, I can switch to 1-11/16" without too much trouble.....

Well, 1-5/8" is correct. It's a jazz/swing band player's guitar, good for a guy who covers all the strings with chords all up and down the neck. :cool-new:
