Reading through the thread about New Guild Prices being high, I got to thinking about how new prices will affect the used market.
With a new D-55 commanding over $3200.00, what will a used D-55 in excellent condition now be worth? [$1500.00 to $2000.00]
The same goes for other models like a D-50, D-40, F-50 and F-512.

Should we expect to see higher prices on used Guilds now?
What are your thoughts?

I'm no expert. But from looking at Reverb and other places for awhile now, it does seem an Excellent Condition guitar will command about 60% of the retail of the new model (assuming there is one). Very good seems to hold at about 50%.

Just random observations. No idea how Guild will get treated since they are not really the same. (Not that Gibson is, either, tho!)
