Great photos of the VW Bug! And complements on the restoration/conservation. It brings back memories. I had one back in the 70's when I was in college. I love the 'baby blue' color of that one!

Actually, it's a '67 VW, and it's still never seen snow, it stays in storage all winter. By the way, 1967 was the first year of 12 VDC, prior to that they were all 6 Volts.

Ideal, we started our honeymoon by taking the ferry from Ludington to Manitowoc, WI
As little kids we were took that ferry when our family moved from Wisconsin to Michigan. I recall that it was great fun at the time. Times have changed and I believe a round trip is about $375 now.

Your trip sounds like it has many great possibilities. For any of them you just can't lose, its all so cool. Drive safe!

My dad had a 66 VW bug. It had the 6 volt. That was a great car! He had it for over 30 years and sold it for more than triple what he paid for it. I believe it cost $1999.00 in 66!!
