I like Black!

Actually, that would be an understatement!

Yes, but that is a black and white photo. Them guitars could be dark blue or dark green for all we know !
:)
Probably not.

Yeah, Hans isn't really a "bend the truth" kind of guy. Also, if they were dark blue or dark green I'd still want them all. Imagine the guitars that have been through Hans' hands and then consider the ones he decides to keep. Wuf...

This gentleman doesn't need what is nowadays called "alternative blacks"! ;-)
His posts are always polite, true and often longer than 140 characters.

I added some pics to post#1 (and transferred the pics to a different server.)

Can anyone read/guess the SN? The second line should read "MADE IN USA", right?
Could that be a deliberately ruined SN? Factory second?

No, I can't read it and I don't feel like trying! However, it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with the serial number; just a somewhat hard to read serial number, which is often the case with black finished Guild guitars.

As far as guessing (which I usually don't like to do) I would say from the specs. that guitar should have a serial number somewhere in the 100-range.

What about asking the seller?

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

I see xxx115 in the SN. With a higher-res photo I might be able to do some photoshop forensics on it.

Check to see if you like it, if it feels good in your hands (esp neck width), and how much the seller is willing to come down on price.

We all know you're ready to pay full asking price, but it doesn't hurt to ask anyways. :)

I agree with everyone, that's a beautiful guitar. Back in the days before I knew Guild existed, when I was longing for a Les Paul, before I got the itch for tobacco burst, black was the real beauty in my eyes.

Markus, I hope this guitar works out for you. JEEZE it's so PRETTY!! And pristine and black and .... even if you don't know what to do with it (which I don't) I'd be silly about that guitar!! I can see your dilemma!! Let us know what happens, okay? We're all DYING here...... LOL!!

Yeah that thing is nice. It is very different than what you are used to seeing with BB's. Man 750 euros with a case seems like a hard one to pass up. To see one like that in that condition for under 1000 is rare based on what I have seen here in the states. I hope it works out well and you fall in love with it.
