On Friday the 13th at 11:01 am November 1942 the already crippled Light Cruiser USS Juneau (CL-52) was sunk in one massive explosion when hit in the powder magazine by a torpedo launched from the Japanese submarine I-26, killing 682 sailors and officers instantly, leaving about 115 men floating in the sea, and again, like the survivors of the USS Indianapolis, they were left to die. And they did. The five Sullivan brothers were on the Juneau, and survivors say that 3 of the brothers survived the explosion however they perished before rescue. Only 9 sailors and 1 officer (Lt. Charles Wang) survived the tragedy. I highly advise reading Dan Kurzman's novel aptly titled "Left To Die, The Tragedy of the USS Juneau"

Well Paul Allen's research team has done it again. They located the wreck in 4000 meters of water in the Pacific ocean. She's still at sea............RIP my brothers.
